Vassia Zacharopoulou


Season 2021/22 begun with the most wonderful way:  Vassia became a mother to a baby girl. She returned on stage on December 2021 at the Greek National Opera to perform Muse’s part at Kypourgos’ opera Silence! The King is listening. On March 2022, she participates at Mozart’s Idomeneo, as cover to Ilia’s part, presented at Olympia Theatre with ERT’s National Symphony Orchestra under George Petrou.

At the age of 23 she started her opera career at the Greek National Opera, singing the role of Swan Princess in the children’ s opera The Tale of Tsar Saltan by N. Rimsky-Korsakov. Since then she held the leading roles in several opera productions.

In 2014 she won the Song Prize at the 14th International Operatic Competition Marie Kraja.

On the concert stage, she has been a soloist in oratorios and cantatas. Her career includes performances of musical theater roles, chamber music, film music, contemporary classical music works and song cycles.

Additionally, as a voice-over actress and singerVassia provides her voice for dubbed foreign language animated and non-animated films, commercials, character reads, text-to-speech and other.

She has been part of the casting database of Cirque du Soleil artists.
