Vassia Zacharopoulou


Greek born soprano / voice-over artist Vassia Zacharopoulou is a performer whose vocal versatility in opera, contemporary classical music and musical theatre defines her as one of the most exciting artists of her generation.

Vassia starts the current season 2020/21 with a concert performance at Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) singing Ennio’s Morricone masterpieces with the Athens State Orchestra under Adrian Prabava. Later on follows a concert performance of  Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music with ERT’s Contemporary Music Orchestra.

At the age of 23 she started her opera career at the Greek National Opera, singing the role of Swan Princess in the children’ s opera The Tale of Tsar Saltan by N. Rimsky-Korsakov. Since then she held the leading roles in several opera productions.

In 2014 she won the Song Prize at the 14th International Operatic Competition Marie Kraja.

On the concert stage, she has been a soloist in oratorios and cantatas. Her career includes performances of musical theater roles, chamber music, film music, contemporary classical music works and song cycles.

Additionally, as a voice-over actress and singerVassia provides her voice for dubbed foreign language animated and non-animated films, commercials, character reads, text-to-speech and other.
