Barbie: The Princess and the Popstar is a 2012 American animated musical film produced by Rainmaker Animation and Universal Studios Home Entertainment. It is the 23rd in the Barbie film series and the 2nd Barbie film to be based on The Prince and the Pauper by Mark Twain  in celebration of Universal’s centennial anniversary.
